Bio:

Dr. Sheila Boysen is a tenured Professor, executive leadership coach, author, and TEDx speaker whose work focuses on leadership development, executive coaching, adult development, artificial intelligence, and the future of learning and work. She is a Master Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and has completed more than 3,500 hours of professional coaching. Her scholarship and applied work bridge leadership research, coaching science, emerging technology, and organizational practice.

At Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå University, Dr. Boysen is the Founding Director of the university's Professional and Executive Coaching Program. She designed and leads ICF-accredited coach education programs that have prepared more than 250 coaches for professional certification. She has also served as Founding Director of Continuing Education and Micro-Credentialing, helping advance university-wide credential innovation, workforce-responsive education, and digital badging.

Her current research and thought leadership explore vertical leadership development, coaching effectiveness, artificial intelligence in coaching and higher education, digital coaching platforms, human-AI collaboration, leadership adaptability, and the future of professional coaching education.

Before she became a full-time coach and educator, Sheila was a senior HR leader, navigating the ins and outs of organizations in both the public and private sectors. She’s a people-first kind of leader, focusing on leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and making sure the human side of business thrives. In 2010, Sheila made the leap into full-time coaching and leadership development, bringing her rich corporate experience into the classroom and beyond.

Sheila completed her coaching education at the University of Texas at Dallas and earned the highest level of certification as a Master Certified Coach (MCC) from the International Coach Federation. With a doctoral degree in Organization Development from Benedictine University, Sheila’s research in coaching effectiveness and strategic talent development has shaped her approach to leadership, teaching, and developing others.

She has delivered more than 3,500 hours of coaching and has worked with executives, senior leaders, emerging leaders, entrepreneurs, career professionals, and high-potential talent across industries. She also holds extensive certifications in leadership, personality, team, and organizational assessment, including Hogan, Leadership Circle, Human Synergistics, Vertical Mindset Indicator, MBTI, TKI, FIRO, and related assessment systems.

Dr. Boysen is also the license holder and lead organizer for TEDxÂé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇåUniversity. She has curated and coached more than 20 TEDx speakers across multiple TEDxÂé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇåUniversity events and delivered her own TEDx talk, "What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up? Let's Change the Question," which has received more than 18,000 views on TED's YouTube channel.
