This video was created for the Composing and Presenting a Multimodal Text assignment, which acts as the culminating assignment for my CW2 class. The videos represent months of research, and the ideas developed through two other papers, including a miniature literature review and an annotated bibliography. Their research questions grew from a class foundation of media literacy through film. The purpose of this assignment is for students to communicate their research findings in an engaging multimodal format, with at least three of the five modes of communication represented. Students must carefully consider all of their visual, audio, spatial, gestural, and linguistic choices, asking how each helps both best convey their message and keep their audience engaged. Please note, careful attention was paid during instruction regarding AI use in visual media creation. Students were allowed to use AI for image generation, but they had to explain their process. AI was not allowed for any part of the writing process.
